I started my practice straight out of Barry University School of Law in Orlando. Before that I fell in love with Tennessee at Milligan College in Johnson City, at sixteen.
For years I handled everything. Criminal, immigration, personal injury. Thousands of clients.
Somewhere in those thousands I noticed something. Almost every one of my DUI clients was a great person who made one unhealthy choice. Not a criminal. A nurse, a contractor, a father, someone who had a hard night.
I also noticed nobody was focused on representing only them. Every criminal attorney in town was a generalist.
Nobody wants a generalist performing their heart surgery. Nobody wants a general criminal attorney fighting their DUI.
So I niched down.
Here is how I explain a case to every client on day one.

Six inputs. You control one of them completely and you influence a second. That is more leverage than most people think they have, and it is why what you do between now and your court date matters.
The evidence piece is where the work happens. Body cam. Dash cam. Blood alcohol content (BAC) and Toxicology (TOX). Officer training documents. The conditions the field sobriety test was actually performed in.
Three things, in this order.
That third one is not a slogan. You are a great person and a DUI does not define you. There are no mistakes in life if you learn and grow. Ideally without having to go to jail and having a DUI on your record. We fight for these three things for you.

I give every client a to-do list because I have watched it change outcomes. It is not outcome determinative. It tilts the scales.
Most of my cases are here. The courthouse is a block away, which means I can walk over to file something or catch a DA in the hallway instead of scheduling it for next week.
Your court dates are usually findable through the Davidson County court search or at tncrtinfo.com. We send text and calendar reminders too, and if you are not getting them, call us, because a missed court date becomes a Failure to Appear charge on top of what you already have.
